I’ve always loved pottery but came to art later in life when my husband suggested I take a pottery class as an outlet from the technical work that was my career.
I took my first classes at the Spruill Center for the Arts in Atlanta, GA and was hooked. I learned wheel throwing and glazing and most recently gotten really excited about hand building and experimenting with texture.
I now have my own studio which we built as an addition behind our garage during Covid. I’ve had so much fun experimenting and finding tools to make interesting pieces.
I’m an avid gardener so I take a lot of inspiration from my garden and plants and texture I find when walking in nature
