I’ve always loved pottery but came to art later in life when my husband suggested I take a pottery class as an outlet from the technical work that was my career.
I took my first classes at the Spruill Center for the Arts in Atlanta, GA and was hooked. I learned wheel throwing and glazing and most recently gotten really excited about hand building and experimenting with texture, which has led me to create unique handcrafted mugs and garden inspired pottery.
I now have my own studio which we built as an addition behind our garage during Covid. I’ve had so much fun experimenting and finding tools to make interesting pieces, including hand painted vases that reflect the beauty of nature.
I’m an avid gardener so I take a lot of inspiration from my garden and plants and the textures I find when walking in nature.
